About Jungle Jim
Jungle Jim is a kind, vegetarian guy in his 20's who works from home. He interacts regularly with four co-workers who are roughly the same age. They work for a local company doing web-based tech support, and through their interaction online for work, they have become friends and enjoy spending free time playing <lt;$%^@>> together.
JungleJim has some rescued animals he has taken in over the years. These include Chloe, the three legged dog; Richard, a flamboyant and fancy male cat; and Matilda, the condescending and brainy dung beetle.

His online friends assume he is a cool guy who has it all, although he actually is pretty insecure and unsure of himself socially. They all envision Chloe as the super sexy girlfriend he shares his apartment with. Richard is considered a gay man they took in after he was kicked out of his home and abandoned by his family. The bunch surmises that Mathilda is an old woman related to Chloe, perhaps a grandmother or great aunt.
PixieWolf is a pretty girl who is swearing herself off men after being burned one too many times. She has intentionally distanced herself from her old life and is currently immersing herself in the world of online gaming and being great in her tech support role.
SolSurfer is very comfortable in his job and at gaming. He enjoys movies of all kinds, but particularly old 70's films. He sometimes wishes he had the courage to go out more into the real world to find a soul mate (thus the online name), but he's stuck in a vicious cycle of longing and insecurity that prevents him from doing so.
TribbleLover8 is a Star Trek and NHL fan. She is fascinated by JungleJim's life and finds herself fantasizing about him as her BF. She loves the original Star Trek series and makes references to it. She mentions hockey on occasion and only PrimeDirective follows beause he is the only other hockey fan in the bunch. Once in a while PixieWolf will contribute and this gives us some insight into her past (she used to date a famous hockey player).
PrimeDirective is a self-involved guy who thinks he's awesome. He's good at what he does, works out and comes off very confident. So much so that people find it off-putting. He is often very lonely and doesn't realize that he doesn't need to try so hard. He's always trying to prove or point out that he's right and good at what he does. He is also caught in a bad cycle of pushing people farther away by trying way too hard to be liked.
